SAP, as a global information technology leader, recognizes and embraces its commitment to the communities in which we operate. We believe the private sector plays a vital role in creating a level playing field, driving innovation and building an environment that enhances education and entrepreneurship to foster economic growth. The Emerging Entrepreneurs Initiative aims to accelerate entrepreneurs in key emerging economies, by addressing the barriers to success for entrepreneurs, and by directly support specific entrepreneurs with SAP’s expertise, technology and financial support. Endeavor has been selected by SAP as its global partner for initiatives to support emerging entrepreneurs in emerging economies. In emerging economies where Endeavor does not have a presence SAP works with like-minded NGO partners. From 2012 to 2015 SAP will implement pilot initiatives in Brazil and India. Endeavor Brazil is SAP’s designated NGO partner in Brazil. In India, SAP’s NGO partner is the National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN). In the coming three years SAP will look to expand its initiative for emerging entrepreneurs to two additional emerging economies, with a view to replicate SAP’s investment strategy as outlined above. Due diligence will begin in 2013.
