We specialize in understanding the needs of high-impact entrepreneurs and evaluating the networks that enable them to scale and pay it forward. Our data-backed thought leadership on global entrepreneurship, technology, and innovation informs  decision makers by providing insights and practical recommendations.

We are looking for a New York-based Research Manager to join Endeavor Insight who will work hand-in-hand with the Senior Director of Research to carry out our signature research products and build new thought leadership initiatives. Recent examples of our work include Mapping Poland’s Tech Sector, Where Do Unicorns Come From, and The Venture Landscape in Spain. Key Responsibilities

Manage research projects from start to finish. This includes managing the process from data collection to analysis, and drafting to publication and dissemination. This is your chance to:

    • Conduct in-depth interviews with entrepreneurs, investors, and support organization leaders from around the world.
    • Develop a deep understanding of a range of industries and markets, while structuring and playing with data to identify salient findings. 
    • Manage teams of international research assistants and interns to complete qualitative and quantitative data collection efforts across multiple projects.
    • Craft and publish world-class research reports and digital experiences that explore global business and policy dynamics using compelling narratives and stunning data visualizations.
    • Coordinate report launches in collaboration with our MarComm team to produce activities such as social media campaigns, presentations, and multimedia experiences.

Develop new research. This includes cooking up new ways to share Endeavor’s theory of change, and change the minds of those who can help or hinder high-impact entrepreneurship worldwide. This is your chance to:

    • Seek out inspiration for new visuals and data journalism, test new data sources and methodologies, and build new department systems.
    • Contribute to business development efforts to secure high-profile partners and sponsors.
    • Build our worldwide research presence and create services for our network of marketing and research staff at local offices.

Great candidates for this role will:

    • Thrive at project management. You can keep things on track across projects, departments, and an international team to get projects publication-ready, never missing a deadline.
    • Enjoy uncovering analytical findings to inform decision makers. You are a pro at Excel, and get a kick out of using pivot tables and building data visualizations. You enjoy learning new analytical tricks and research methods.
    • Strive for perfection in his or her writing while distilling large amounts of information and crafting persuasive narratives. You can also conduct interviews with the skill of an investigative journalist. 
    • Have a graduate degree in business, journalism, economics, international policy, or other related field. 
    • Bring 5-7 years of professional research experience and 5-7 years of client-facing experience in a professional role.

In addition, an ideal candidate will:

    • Have work experience in consulting, communications, or applied research, and experience with international clients.
    • Speak a foreign language.
    • Code in Python and build queries in SQL.
    • Perform statistical analysis, including social network analysis and regression analysis.
    • Use Notion, Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, Flourish, Tableau, Salesforce, and social media platforms.

Must be eligible to live and work in the United States and must be based in the New York area.

Benefits

    • The base salary will range between $100,000 – $120,000, with a bonus available. Actual starting base pay will be determined by skills, experience, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
