This position is part of the U.S. Development Finance Corporation (DFC) Office of the Chief Executive (OCE). As a Managing Director, Strategy Execution, you will be responsible for helping to drive and execute the agency’s organizational and investment strategy.

Major Duties:

    • Collaborates with and provides guidance to Offices and the business lines in the implementation and execution of a portfolio tracking and business development plan that will provide real-time data regarding DFC’s progress towards achieving the organization’s goals.
    • Identifies, prioritizes, and manages activities and analysis, proposals, and implementation of key activities that will enable successful implementation of strategy, organizational goals, and DFC growth.
    • Provides analysis, guidance, and advice, and messaging to enable DFC to meeting reporting requirements and other USG inter-agency processes and reporting, including in support of the Corporations budget, Congressional Budget Justification, Board reports, White House-directed strategic planning reports and activities, among others.
    • Contributes to the development and successful implementation of DFC strategy, including through research and development, and monitoring and analysis, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative inputs.
    • Collaborates with the Office of External Affairs to address DFC strategy and relevant topics for use with internal and external stakeholders within the US government, other development finance institutions, clients, and the development finance community.
    • Manages special projects at the request of senior management on an ad-hoc basis to support organizational strategic goals across range of topics, including operations, investment processes, budget, staffing.
    • Provides administrative and technical supervisory oversight and support to assigned staff.

Qualifications:

Applicants must meet all eligibility and qualification requirements no later than the closing date of this announcement.

You may qualify at the GS-15 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirements:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service utilizing quantitative data to manage and oversee the execution of enterprise-wide initiatives related to business improvements, agency strategic planning, or portfolio management strategies that includes experience in international development, foreign policy, development finance, or private sector.

Note: Education is not substitutional at this grade level.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
