Value for Women is looking for a Senior Strategic Initiatives Lead who will work with the best talent in the industry and learn from a diverse mix of critical thinkers and problem solvers.  We work across a variety of fields, including impact investing, financial inclusion, gender lens investing, inclusive entrepreneurship, sustainable energy, and sustainable agriculture.  We provide training and capacity building, conduct innovative research, and deliver bespoke advisory, evaluation and technical assistance. You will sit at the forefront of designing, promoting, managing and resourcing Value for Women’s Strategic Initiatives.

What does a Senior Strategic Initiatives Lead do at Value for Women?

The Senior Strategic Initiatives Lead is responsible for designing, promoting, managing and resourcing Value for Women’s Strategic Initiatives. This includes leading the design of the initiatives, identifying and cultivating key implementation and funding partnerships, overseeing programme implementation, and coordinating efforts for outreach, communications and visibility of these programmes globally.   The role includes building complex, effective, multi-layered strategic initiatives designed for impact and scalability.

What are the requirements for this role?

The Senior Strategic Initiatives Lead is an exciting new role at the organisation. The role requires building out complex, effective, multi-layered strategic initiatives designed for impact and scalability on gender and social inclusion across the globe.

We are looking for a passionate and results-driven leader, collaborator, and adept problem solver able to advance the development and implementation of VfW’s strategic programmes, and requires the ability to hit the ground running.  The successful candidate will be an adept problem solver who brings critical thinking skills to find and implement solutions. They have exceptional judgement as a strategic thought partner to ensure success across the organisation’s strategic initiatives. y.

They are able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team and consultancy environment, working independently as part of a remote international team whilst efficiently delivering according to deadlines. Our team works best with people who interact positively, and who are results-based, entrepreneurial and client-centered.

Step 2: Shortlist.  Our recruiting team reaches out if your profile is a match, and you will be invited to   Interview #1, a video call interview with our HR Manager 

Step 3: Interview #2. Successful candidates are asked for a 45-minute video call interview. This is a chance for you to ask us questions too. 

Step 4: Interview #3: Written Interview. We invite you to participate in a written interview. You are asked to upload your responses or send them back to us within 4 days.  You can ask for more time if you have other commitments already scheduled. 

Step 5: Reference checks and/or Final Interview! This is the really short- shortlist, and you are a finalist.
