I am passionate about accelerating sustainable and inclusive development.

As the MD & CEO, I lead a team of professionals at Caspian Debt – a company that provides customized debt solutions to social enterprises, high impact startups, and financial institutions. We enable entrepreneurs to scale their businesses and create positive social and environmental outcomes, in sectors such as food and agribusiness, healthcare, clean technology, education, financial inclusion, and affordable housing.

I leverage my experience in building and scaling new businesses – setting processes, building teams, developing technology roadmaps and managing financial performance – to achieve the mission of accelerating sustainable development. I have also had the incredible opportunity to observe several other companies as a financier from the earliest stages to success/growth. This opportunity has enabled me to understand the combination of technology, process and systems that enable small companies to grow sustainably.

My technical experience is in venture debt, quasi equity, securitisation and other structured debt products for small and growing companies and financial institutions.

By driving the strategic focus of Caspian Debt towards gender equity and climate smart financing, I helped it become a 2X Flagship Fund and the first Indian NBFC/Asset Manager signatory to the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials. I also helped successfully launch multiple blended finance product initiatives across food & agri, healthcare, cleantech, WASH, nano and micro enterprise finance sectors.

In addition to my role at Caspian Debt, I serve as a Trustee and an Investment Committee Member at Dvara Holdings, which runs an inclusion focussed ventures studio and as a Steering Committee Member at Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) South Asia chapter, which promotes entrepreneurial ecosystems in South Asia.

I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (an MBA with a focus on sustainable development) from IRMA, a B.Tech in Dairy technology followed by an M.Sc. in Dairy Chemistry, and a Diploma in Software Management.
