Flourish Africa is a women empowerment movement founded by Apostle Folorunso Alakija in 2017 to serve as a catalyst for female empowerment and development. Borne out of her passion to see women become truly fulfilled and empowered, the Flourish Africa movement is designed to create a platform for both female millennials and adults alike, to have access to information that will help them grow in the areas of career, living, love and relationship and inspirational messages from leading change-makers. Currently, Flourish Africa is in the process of implementing her NGN 1 billion grant program. This program will run for 5 years, and we plan to support 2,500 African females owned SGBs with entrepreneurship training and give a grant to of NGN 2 million each to 500 female- owned and managed SGBs in the span of five years. We share ANDE’s vision of closing the gender equality gap, providing decent work and economic growth through our initiatives. By becoming members of Aspen we hope to benefit from the ANDE’s rich pool of thought leaders, resources and platform to ensure that we provide the best to entrepreneurs we interact with.
