London’s week of June 21 is shaping up to be a vital convergence point for entrepreneurs, investors, and ecosystem builders working on climate solutions. Here’s our guide to agenda items most relevant to ANDE members—and where to connect with our Climate Manager, Laura Simmons-Stern, on the ground.
Driving Climate Action through Entrepreneurship and Innovation
As climate conversations move from commitments to implementation, small and growing businesses (SGBs) are increasingly being recognized as frontline actors in climate resilience and mitigation. London Climate Action Week (LCAW) brings together over 45,000 people from business, finance, policy, and civil society to accelerate these solutions. The 2025 agenda includes several events highly aligned with the work and mission of ANDE’s global network.
Whether you’re looking to tap into green finance, scale regenerative agriculture, or understand how ecosystem actors are supporting climate-smart innovation in the Global South, LCAW offers high-value insights and connections. Here are some standout sessions:
Opportunities for ANDE’s Community
- Powering Sustainable Energy Demand (June 23, 11:00–14:00, Frontline Club)
Hosted by CLASP, this panel will explore how increasing energy-efficient appliance ownership in developing economies is key to unlocking energy access gains and climate adaptation while simultaneously limiting climate emissions. - Accelerating Transport Decarbonization (June 23)
Industry leaders will discuss collaborative efforts to decarbonize freight and logistics, including tools and models that can be applied to last-mile and SME-scale transport systems. - Financing Climate Adaptation – Role of the Private Sector (June 24, 09:30–11:00, LSE)
- Organized by the Grantham Research Institute at LSE, in collaboration with the Zurich Climate Resilience Alliance and Mercy Corps, this event will discuss the critically underfunded area of climate adaptation and the role of the private sector in addressing the finance gap.
- GIIN’s Climate Solutions Investing Framework (June 24)
Hosted by the Global Impact Investing Network, this session debuts a new framework to guide climate-focused capital toward high-impact solutions. A must-attend for ANDE members working at the intersection of entrepreneurship, finance, and climate resilience. - Climate Innovation Forum (June 25–26, Guildhall)
This is LCAW’s flagship event on translating ambition into action, with panels and workshops highlighting scalable innovations. Especially valuable for ESOs and accelerators supporting climate tech. - Powering Nature: Climate Solutions for the Global South (June 25, Camley Street Natural Park)
Co-hosted by the Nature for Climate Coalition, this session focuses on integrating climate and nature strategies, and features practical examples of solutions being piloted across emerging markets—key for ANDE members working in Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and Asia. - Unlocking Investment for Regenerative Agriculture (June 24)
Organized by Diageo, this event dives into co-financing models and investment-readiness for agricultural SGBs. It will explore how to align impact capital with locally driven models—relevant for members targeting climate-smart agriculture. - Business Leaders’ Summit – Business Backs Climate Action (June 24)
This summit will highlight corporate alignment with science-based targets and feature insights on how supply chains—especially in the Global South—are being mobilized to meet climate commitments. - People & Nature Hub (June 25, Covent Garden)
For those developing nature-based climate solutions, this full-day program will unpack how to deliver high-integrity, investable NBS projects at scale—an emerging area of interest for many ANDE-affiliated enterprises and intermediaries. - London Climate Resilience Finance Summit (June 27, Glaziers Hall)
This one-day summit will meet the critical unmet need for radically scaled-up finance for resilience through driving greater focus on finance for climate resilience through all parts of the finance ecosystem, building shared understanding and commitment around global needs and solutions, and presenting London domestic and international leadership on climate-resilience finance.
