Join us for the 2nd session of our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Learning Series!

Join us for the 2ndt session of our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Learning Series “Mainstreaming Physical Accessibility”, hosted by ANDE East & Southeast Asia and South Asia chapters in collaboration with agile.

Throughout this session, you will have the exciting opportunity to learn from our expert and practitioner speaker, Ian Jones, from Agile, an impact enterprise from Cambodia that uses human-centered design to create solutions and opportunities for people with disabilities, on the following subjects:

  • Be informed on what the scope of physical accessibility is. Understand what aspects need to be considered with regards to this.
  • Assess the inclusiveness of the accessibility of their own organization’s physical infrastructure.
  • Receive concrete steps and tips for adjustments of accessible physical infrastructure.
  • Best practices and lessons learned from the region on physical accessibility.

Most importantly, this session will allow you to have interactive discussions with your fellow entrepreneur support organizations (ESOs) on the disability landscape in different countries and challenges people with disabilities face, especially in entrepreneurship context.

The DEI Learning Series is brought to you by ANDE Asia Talent Development Series and intends to equip Entrepreneur Support Organizations (ESOs) with necessary knowledge and resources to develop inclusive and equitable entrepreneurship support initiatives to give every entrepreneur equal opportunity to thrive and succeed in their endeavors. This second session on “Mainstreaming – Physical Accessibility” will be followed by the final session on Mainstreaming Positive Imagery and Crosscutting between Gender and Disability, which is tentatively scheduled for August 2024.

This session can only accommodate 30 participants, so make sure you pencil your calendar and register HERE within July 14 (Sunday) as you cannot afford to miss this opportunity!

Please address any questions related to this workshop and ANDE Asia Talent Development Series to Pasiwat Sutthirak and Vineetha Venugopal

Why should I join?

Upon completion of this session, participants will:

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of physical accessibility that extends beyond traditional notions, encompassing a wider range of considerations for creating inclusive spaces.
  • Be equipped with practical assessment tools to evaluate the inclusivity of their organization’s physical infrastructure and identify areas for improvement.
  • Have actionable steps and strategies to implement adjustments that enhance physical accessibility within their own work environments.
  • Learn from real-world best practices and lessons learned from organizations in the region that have successfully implemented physical accessibility initiatives.
  • Be able to engage in informed discussions about the disability landscape in different countries and the specific challenges faced by entrepreneurs with disabilities.
