Our research team provides data-driven evidence and visualizations showing what makes entrepreneurial ecosystems thrive. We specialize in understanding the needs of high-impact entrepreneurs and evaluating the networks that enable them to scale and pay it forward. Our data-backed thought leadership on global entrepreneurship, technology, and innovation informs  decision makers by providing insights and practical recommendations.

We are looking for a New York-based Research Associate to join Endeavor Insight. This person will work hand-in-hand with the Senior Director of Research and Research Manager to carry out our signature research products and build new thought leadership initiatives. Key Responsibilities

Assist on research projects from data collection to publication. This includes researching and authoring world-class research reports that explore global business and policy dynamics. This is your chance to:

  • Craft compelling narratives and stunning data visualizations.
  • Develop a deep understanding of a range of industries and markets.
  • Conduct in-depth interviews with entrepreneurs, investors, and support organization leaders from around the world.
  • Join an international team to collect qualitative and quantitative data across multiple projects.
  • Coordinate report launches in collaboration with our MarComm team to produce activities such as social media campaigns, presentations, and multimedia experiences.

Develop new research. This includes cooking up new ways to share Endeavor’s theory of change, and change the minds of those who can help or hinder high-impact entrepreneurship worldwide. This is your chance to:

  • Seek out inspiration for new visuals and data journalism, test new data sources and methodologies, and build new department systems.
  • Contribute to business development efforts to secure high-profile partners and sponsors.
  • Build our worldwide research presence and create services for our network of marketing and research staff at local offices.

Great candidates for this role will:

  • Be an excellent writer, copyeditor, and proofreader. You have the ability to distill large amounts of information and craft concise, persuasive narratives for both academic-style reports and popular business articles.
  • Thrive at rigorous research practices such as literature reviews, data collection, and qualitative tagging while maintaining accuracy and completeness of data. 
  • Keep things on track across multiple projects, departments, and an international team to get projects publication-ready, never missing a deadline.
  • Enjoy uncovering findings to inform decision makers. You have solid Excel skills, and get a kick out of using pivot tables and building data visualizations. You are eager to learn statistical programming languages.
  • Bring a flair for conducting interviews with executives and VIPs, leading them with natural curiosity and professionalism. 
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in business, journalism, economics, international policy, or other related field, and 2-3 years of professional research and writing experience.

In addition, an ideal candidate will:

  • Have work experience in consulting, communications, or applied research.
  • Speak a foreign language and/or bring international experience.
  • Have basic graphic design skills in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, and Google Slides.
  • Use Notion, Flourish, Tableau, Salesforce, and social media platforms.

Must be eligible to live and work in the United States and must be based in the New York area.

Benefits

  • The base salary will range between $70,000 – $80,000 with a bonus available. Actual starting base pay will be determined by skills, experience, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.

  • Unlimited paid time off in addition to office closures for federal holidays and the last week of December each year.
