Preparatory Call for Member Coordination

This call is open to ANDE members who:

  • Are planning to attend COP30 or related events in Brazil.

  • Work with other members and international organizations in climate adaptation, finance, or policy.

  • Want to help strengthen our collective advocacy efforts and regional alignment.

Why This Matters

Smiling Farmer with Açaí Berries in Belém, BrazilSGBs stand at the crossroads of risk and resilience. They are among the most vulnerable to the effects of climate change—and also among the most capable of driving local solutions. Yet, only a fraction of global climate finance reaches them.

At COP30, ANDE members and partners will advocate for more climate financing to flow to developing economies, and within them, to the SGBs that form the backbone of inclusive, climate-resilient growth.

This event marks a key moment in ANDE’s collaboration with the SME Climate Hub and other partners to raise awareness of small and growing businesses’ central role in climate action through the #MutirãoCOP30 / #COP30SMEs campaign.

Join ANDE members for an in-depth discussion on advocacy opportunities ahead of COP30. ANDE staff will present updates from key events in São Paulo and Belém, and outline our advocacy platform elevating the role of SGBs in advancing climate adaptation and resilience.

Members based in Brazil will share their perspectives and expectations for COP30. Participate to offer feedback on ANDE’s advocacy priorities, gain insights into how COP30 can strengthen global support for SGBs, and connect with peers working toward the same goal.

What to Expect

During this meeting, ANDE staff and members will:

  • Present ANDE’s COP30 advocacy priorities, focusing on SGB financing for climate resilience.

  • Share updates from pre-COP engagements in São Paulo and plans for Belém.

  • Hear from members based in Brazil and across Latin America on opportunities for collective action.

  • Gather feedback to refine ANDE’s messaging and advocacy strategy.

This discussion will help shape how ANDE and its members show up at COP30—amplifying local voices and connecting them with global decision-makers.
