Karina Karunwi
West Africa Regional Chapter Head

Karina Karunwi joined ANDE in August 2025 to lead the network efforts to strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystems across West Africa by convening stakeholders, building strategic partnerships, and supporting small and growing businesses to scale.

Before joining ANDE, Karina served as Head of Programs at Impact Hub Lagos, where she designed and managed donor-funded initiatives advancing climate innovation, youth employment, women-led enterprises, and disability inclusion. She also led the Africa and Middle East region for the global Impact Hub Network. Over the past decade, she has worked with organizations including the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and the Tony Elumelu Foundation, and has facilitated workshops and capacity-building programs for entrepreneurs, ecosystem actors, and global companies.

Karina holds an MSc in Civil Engineering: Innovative Structural Materials from the University of Bath, with a focus on sustainability, and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Brighton. She is passionate about contextualizing and localizing solutions for the West African entrepreneurial ecosystem, with a particular focus on advancing opportunities for women, inclusive innovation, and holistic wellbeing.
