Represented by Southern Africa Regional Head Ercilia Mata Ubisse, ANDE will contribute data-driven insights and grassroots perspectives to strengthen global startup and MSME ecosystems through the G20 platform.
ANDE, represented by Southern Africa Regional Head Ercilia Mata Ubisse, has joined the Foundation and Alliances Task Force under Startup20 South Africa.
Startup20 serves as the official G20 Engagement Group focused on global entrepreneurship, emphasizing startups, micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), and innovation ecosystems. As the only G20 platform dedicated to these key drivers of economic growth and innovation, Startup20 plays a crucial role in shaping global policy frameworks that support entrepreneurial development.
ANDE’s participation in this task force is an exciting opportunity to help influence policy recommendations ahead of the G20 Leaders’ Summit. Drawing on insights from our global network, ANDE will contribute to strategies that strengthen support structures for entrepreneurs—particularly those working at the local level.
“This journey is about more than just a seat at the table—it’s about making sure the voices and visions of those building change locally are heard and amplified globally. At ANDE, we’re deeply committed to strengthening locally owned entrepreneurship ecosystems because we know that real, lasting impact starts from the ground up. I’m looking forward to bringing that perspective into the Startup20 space and learning from so many inspiring peers along the way.”
— Ercilia Mata Ubisse, Southern Africa Regional Head, ANDE
As we engage with partners across the G20 network, ANDE remains focused on advancing inclusive, sustainable entrepreneurship worldwide. In support of this mission, our Southern Africa Chapter will host a learning series aligned with the G20 agenda—designed to foster dialogue, share insights, and elevate local perspectives within global policy conversations.
