Join us as we explore Farm Hero’s inspiring journey in Cambodia. Co-founded by Sorkunthika Srour, Farm Hero addresses key challenges in the agriculture sector by providing affordable and quality agricultural equipment services to farmers.

They work with The Sasakawa Peace Foundation, ANDE member based in Japan with global reach.

Sorkunthika, with a background in the development sector and a master’s degree in entrepreneurship and innovation, leveraged her experience to create Farm Hero. Her work with Swisscontact on the Innovation for Sustainable Agriculture project fueled her interest and understanding of the agriculture sector’s problems, leading to the founding of Farm Hero during her master’s program.

Farm Hero solves critical issues by offering a platform where farmers can conveniently and affordably book agricultural equipment services from their phones. The platform’s three main solutions include an aggregation model that groups bookings to save gasoline and serve multiple hectares, a dynamic recommendation system that suggests alternative service providers, and a dynamic pricing model that considers gasoline prices, supply, and demand to set acceptable prices for both farmers and tractor owners.

Farm Hero aims to offer affordable and competitive agricultural equipment services in Cambodia and Southeast Asia. Their mission is to promote green and economical practices, empowering farmers, increasing productivity, and protecting the planet.
