Bengaluru’s waste management system relies heavily on the informal sector. Waste pickers perform essential functions, yet their contributions are often overlooked or undervalued due to the informal status of their jobs. Involving and collaborating with waste pickers is rather one-dimensional, where the discussion predominantly focuses on formalisation. ANDE, Climate KIC, Second Muse, and the Saamuhika Shakti initiative supported by Sattva Consulting, are co-organizing this stakeholder event under the flagship of the Circular Economy Innovation Clusters project (CEIC), implemented by Climate KIC and Second Muse.
