  • Climate Tech Ecosystems And Emergent Models. While there is an urgent need for climate innovation ecosystems in the Global South, funding for climate tech remains concentrated in select regions. Nalin Agarwal (Founding Partner, Climate Collective) joins other leaders and institutions in addressing ecosystem development, inclusion, local vs. imported technologies, policy actions, and available funding instruments to tackle climate risks. Technology and Innovation Stage at COP 28 December 2, 11:20 am – 12:20 pm.

  • Masterclass: Opportunities in Investing in Climate Tech Startups across the Global South. The Climate Collective Foundation (CCF) and UAE Independent Climate Change Accelerators (UICCA) will host this Masterclass filled with insights for institutional, family-office, and angel investors who want to invest in Climate Tech startups in the Global South. The presentation will lead to an interactive panel discussion with experienced institutional & impact investors.   • COP Connect: ‘Celebrating the Climate Heroes We Need’ Join New Energy Nexus, Masdar City, Tencent, and Catalyst for an evening reception of celebrations and networking! |Impact Hub (DP World Pavilion) Level 5, Terrace Green Zone. Tuesday, December 5 · 6:30 – 8:30 pm GST.

  • The Future Mobility Hub is a platform we have partnered with that complements the policy-focused COP28 by providing an inclusive and innovative business venue. It is a unique space where people can come together to acquire knowledge, engage in meaningful discussions, and collaborate on novel aspects of mobility, transportation, and sustainability. And they have a rich menu of possibilities to explore at the Supercool Mobility Center.

  • Angel Rising Symposium at the Climate Action Innovation Zone, Madinat Jumeirah Conference Centre. Featuring spotlight sessions, panel discussions, and fireside chats followed by networking for 150 guests on Thursday, December 7, from 2 to 5 pm.

  • Women Climate Entrepreneurs Pitch Event: Financing Scalable Solutions. The US Department of State, along with its founding and future partners of the Coalition for Climate Entrepreneurship (CCE) partnership, will be hosting its second pitch competition at COP. The focus will be on early-stage solutions ready to scale. The CCE aims to support and showcase these entrepreneurs and their innovative ideas in the fight against climate change. U.S. Center at COP28, Friday, December 8 at 9 am.

  • IRENA will have a shared space in the center of the Blue Zone with the Global Renewables Alliance (GRA) and REN21. They want to build a meeting point for policymakers, industry experts, and other key stakeholders from around the world to work together and promote the shift toward renewable energy.   • Habitat for Humanity: Housing and climate adaptation for the most vulnerable population, an official UNFCCC side event with UN-Habitat and the Bangladesh Environmental Lawyers Association (BELA) SE Room 9, Blue Zone. Friday, 8 December 2023 11:30-1:00 pm.

  • Extreme Conditions and Resilient Cities: How are Urban Centers Adapting? Alex Kruzel, CEO and founder of Telesto Strategy, will bring her breadth of global experience in ESG and climate finance to a panel hosted by Jacobs Solutions. Green Zone, Expo Terrace. December 9, 3 to 4:30 pm.
