Why this survey?

Impact investing has the potential to accelerate solutions to key social and environmental challenges in the region. However, there is still limited systematic and comparable information on its scale, characteristics, and performance.

This survey aims to close that gap and provide a solid data foundation to strengthen the impact investing ecosystem in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Survey objectives:

 

1. Market sizing

Estimate the current market size (stock) and impact investment flows in the region.

2. Ecosystem mapping

Identify key actors, instruments, sectors, and geographies.

 

3. Identify gaps and opportunities

Detect underserved areas and growth potential.

 

4. Inform policy design

Provide inputs for CAF – development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean – Impact Vehicle and public policy recommendations.
