Established in May 2011 and based in Lusaka, BongoHive supports entrepreneurs of any background, by enhancing skills, accelerating growth, strengthening networks of collaboration, and helping them navigate the barriers to growth.BongoHive delivers its support to enterprises through its three programmes, Discover, Launch and Thrive, which support businesses at idea development, market entry and investor readiness stages respectively. At the core of our vision lies the aspiration to be the catalyst for Africa's most adored enterprises, fueling their inception and supporting their journey to becoming beloved household names. Our programmes are structured to allow enterprises to ‘learn by doing’ and thus differ from business consultancies as the business owners themselves apply customer-centric tools such as the lean startup methodology, design-thinking and structured market research to their businesses. All the programmes also include key components such as mentorship and coaching to provide the business owners with an added layer of support that makes them more resilient to the pitfalls of entrepreneurship. Since inception, we have worked with over 2,000 entreprises in various sectors such as agriculture, health, education, energy, finance and retail. We have also had the opportunity in partnering with different organisations such as the World Bank, UNCDF, Comic Relief, US Embassy, FinMark Trust and others in the delivery of our entrepreneurship programmes.
