Roger Santodomingo brings a wealth of experience from the media industry to his role at the Aspen Institute, leading the communications and marketing strategy at ANDE since 2023. His career is distinguished by his work as a serial entrepreneur, an internationally acclaimed journalist, a writer, and a bestselling author. In Latin America and his native Venezuela, Roger became a prominent advocate for human rights and press freedom before moving into exile to Washington, D.C., in 2013.
His journalistic journey spans several prestigious media outlets, including contributions to newspapers, magazines, and various digital and broadcast platforms such as the BBC, Telemundo International, NTN24, and CNN in Spanish. Beyond journalism, Roger has dedicated part of his career to advocacy, working with Amnesty International and press freedom organizations and on pivotal presidential and government campaigns.
Outside his professional pursuits, Roger is deeply committed to his family, cherishing time spent with his three children. He is also an avid martial artist, currently holding the top rank in the DMV Karate Sports League. Roger will represent his district of Maryland at the AAU Karate National Championship in July 2024.
