Jose Mattos is a social psychologist with a Master’s in Sociology from the University of Coimbra. With 26 years of experience as a local development and impact entrepreneurship specialist, he founded ViaFloresta, a hub of strategic solutions in sustainability and ESG.
Jose has worked with many notable companies and served as a director of the Agricultural Defense Agency of the State of Pará and a technician at the Secretariat of State for Environment and Sustainability. Additionally, he was a former member of the Human Rights Working Group of the Global Compact Brazil and rapporteur of the corporate NDC (Nationally Determined Contribution) by the Ethos Institute, and a consultant for the Arapyaú Institute. A professor, speaker, and advisor to NGOs, Jose enjoys reading suspense novels and poetry.
