Ems Schnee joined ANDE in December 2022 and serves as the Senior Grants Specialist. Ems brings expertise in grants and project management from years of working in the non-profit sector. Ems passion lies in working towards reform of justice systems that deny individuals fair treatment as it relates to the intersection of race, gender, sexuality, family structure, health, class, and ability. Specifically, Ems has a keen interest in Criminal Justice Reform.
Prior to joining ANDE, Ems served as Project Manager and Board Liaison at The Marshall Project, Project Coordinator at the International Association of Chiefs of Police, and Communities & Volunteer Relations Coordinator at the Human Rights Campaign. Ems received a M.S. in Justice, Law & Criminology from American University and received a B.A. in Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Ems is thrilled to bring expertise in grants management to support the important work of ANDE!
