Lersha is a one-stop digital platform under Green Agro Solution PLC established in 2018 providing a wide range of services to Ethiopia's smallholders, agro-pastoralists, and commercial farmers. These services include farm input & mechanization services, facilitating aggregation, agro-climate advisory & crop extension, and access to finance. The platform is accessible via an in-house designed mobile application and call center, both available in multiple languages. Lersha is committed to using digitalization to revolutionize the agriculture sector and improve Ethiopia's farmers' resilience through creating awareness on agro-climate advisory, disseminating dynamic SMS and voice blasts to smallholder farmers using farmers' language, and a robust follow-up to gather feedback. Lersha aims to capacitate input shops, mechanization service providers, agro-businesses, agricultural business associations, and financial institutions to adopt digital agricultural service provision, access to finance, and market linkage through awareness creation, capacity building, digital platform integration, and overall support for sustainable growth. Lersha has a growing public-private partnership among Lersha and institutions such as the Ministry of Agriculture, Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Institute, GIZ, CIMMYT, and Alliance Bioversity CIAT to reach more than 200,000 Smallholder Farmers, 216 Business Partners, and 6,170 Development Agents through 2,000 Lersha Agents, the Lersha App and Call center across the last five years.
