The ESEA and India chapters convene a cross-chapter Funder Learning Lab with the goal to promote greater donor efficiency by cultivating a relatively small group of representatives from donor agencies, private foundations, and family offices.
ANDE has always played an important convening role in the SGB sector, facilitating greater funder coordination and promoting learning opportunities. As the COVID-19 pandemic and economic crisis continues, this collaboration becomes even more important towards helping strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystems.
Since early 2020, the ANDE Funder Learning Lab has been a platform for the many ANDE members who are grantmaking funders to share lessons learned and potentially pursue joint initiatives.
In addition to the global Funder Learning Lab, the East and Southeast Asia and India chapters hold regular invite-only regional meetings of the Funder Learning Lab to promote greater donor efficiency by cultivating a relatively small group of representatives from donor agencies, private foundations, and family offices.
Previous conversations of the regional Funder Learning Lab have focused on the importance of a circular economy during COVID recovery, pivoting funding programs during the pandemic etc.
Participants in these convenings are selectively curated by the regional chapters as appropriate for the topics of discussion, and have previously included representatives from Asian Development Bank, DOEN Foundation, Sasakawa Peace Foundation, British Council, Mastercard Centre for Inclusive Growth, and the Ikea Foundation.
