Join ANDE for a conversation series about the current research on important topics in the small and growing business sector. These 45-minute meetings will feature a fireside chat with experts, followed by Q&A with meeting participants.

In the third event of the series, you’ll hear both the researcher and practitioner perspective on job quality within small and growing businesses.

Amolo Ng’weno is CEO of BFA Global, a consulting firm that applies financial and digital innovation, venture building, and investment expertise to improve the resilience and wellbeing of underserved people. Formerly, she was the Managing Director of Digital Divide Data Kenya, a social enterprise that provides data and research services to companies and governments, while hiring young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and supporting their higher education.

Steve Hartrich is a Technical Officer of Inclusive Markets & Value Chains with the International Labour Organization. Steve leads the inclusive markets and value chains team which coordinates technical research and support for better sector selection, market systems analysis, monitoring and results measurement, and project implementation with an employment lens. He was the project coordinator for the Lab project – a research and knowledge generation project on how a systemic approach can create more and better jobs.

This event and associated ANDE research are produced as part of the Global Inclusive Growth Partnership (GIGP), a collaboration between the Aspen Institute and the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth. The GIGP is a multi-year initiative that combines the expertise and networks of both the Institute and the Center to address income and information inequality through the lens of inclusive growth.
