Event Details

This last Learning Community session for 2023 will present key findings of the recent launched report, “Decoding the Gender Gap in Financing MSMEs in India – Looking Beyond the Numbers”, an output of the ANDE India Gender Action Lab, and seek inputs on recommendations and possible next steps.

The report, authored by LEAD at Krea University in partnership with Villgro and Caspian Debt, surveyed over 800 SMEs to gain insights on how women entrepreneurs access finance and what challenges and barriers they face.

Excitedly, the audience will also have an opportunity to hear related learnings from Cambodia through the policy brief “Challenges of Women-Owned MSMEs in Accessing Finance”, conducted by Support Her Enterprise (SHE).

As part of the ANDE Gender Equality Initiative (AGEI), this regional Gender Learning Community is serving as a space for thought leadership, cross regional learning and a platform to generate knowledge to advance gender issues, among ANDE grantee alumni and members interested in gender smart approaches.

This is a closed-door invite only convening for organizations that are a part of the ANDE Asia Gender Learning Community. If you are interested in joining this discussion, please reach out to Pasiwat Sutthirak (ESEA)  or Sucharita Kamath (India) for more details.
