Roger Santodomingo
Head of Global Communications

Roger Santodomingo leads ANDE’s global communications, directing strategy and a team that works across the network’s chapters and time zones to advance the small and growing businesses at the heart of ANDE’s mission. Since 2023, he has built ANDE’s communications into a strategic editorial function, most visibly through our global campaigns and the network’s green-growth and climate work, where he leads integrated storytelling around Climate Week NYC, COP, and Aspen Ideas Climate. He also leads with Aspen International Partners a budding initiative on global literature, technology and translations.

A journalist and entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience across Latin America, the U.K., and the U.S., Roger has spent his career translating complex ideas — economic, political, technological, environmental — into stories that move audiences and decisions. His work has spanned the BBC World Service in London and NTN24/Telemundo International, where he was executive producer and editorial partner to Moisés Naím on the Emmy-winning Efecto Naím (200+ episodes). In Caracas, he co-founded the daily newspaper TalCual with the Venezuelan intellectual and statesman Teodoro Petkoff — work recognized with Venezuela’s Simón Bolívar National Prize for Journalism.

His commitment to human rights and press freedom — forged in his native Venezuela — continues to shape how he thinks about the conditions in which entrepreneurs, communities, and free societies thrive. He is the author of four nonfiction books and writes CICERO, a bilingual Substack on artificial intelligence and the future of our information ecosystems.

Roger holds an MSc in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics (LSE), where he was a Chevening Scholar, and a MSc in Social Communications from the Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV).

When he isn’t championing the stories of ANDE’s entrepreneurs, you’ll find him writing another book, underwater on a scuba dive, or on the karate mat.
