ANDE's Event Cancellation Policy

We understand plans change—here’s what to know if you need to cancel or adjust your registration.

We recognise that unforeseen circumstances can arise. However, due to the significant planning and costs involved in organizing our events, we are only able to offer transfers, credits, or refunds in the case of emergencies. By registering for this event, you agree to the following cancellation policy:

Qualifying Emergencies

Transfer, credit, or refund requests will only be granted in the case of one of the following emergencies:

Medical Emergency
A serious illness, injury, or medical condition affecting the registered participant or an immediate family member.

Family Emergency
A death or life-threatening situation involving an immediate family member.

Natural Disasters or Extreme Weather
Events that directly impact the participant’s ability to travel or attend (e.g., hurricanes, earthquakes, wildfires, floods).

Visa Denial
If a participant applies for a visa in a timely manner and provides documentation showing the visa was denied.

Transfer, Credit, or Refund Options

Transfer Your Registration to a Colleague
You may transfer your registration to another colleague within your organization at no additional cost.

Credit to Future Membership Dues
You may apply the full cost of your registration as a credit toward your organization’s next membership renewal.

Credit Toward a Future Event
You may opt to apply your paid registration toward a future ANDE conference or event within the next 12 months.

Refund
Requests for refunds will be reviewed individually and considered on a case-by-case basis.

Submitting a Request

To be considered for a transfer, credit, or refund due to a qualifying emergency, you must:

  1. Email the ANDE Events Team at ande.events@aspeninstitute.org with your name, registration details, and reason for cancellation no later than five business days before the event.
  2. All transfer, credit, and refund requests will be reviewed by our team. If approved, transfers and credits will be processed immediately, while refunds will be processed within 30 days of receipt.
