
Alwyn Joy Rosel is an innovation leader with over 13 years of experience in the startup industry, driving ecosystem growth, cross-sector partnerships, and startup development. As the Executive Director of IdeaSpace and QBO Innovation, she spearheads strategic programs to accelerate the success of Philippine startups, oversees investments, and mentors early-stage startups in their scaling journey. Alwyn also drives the expansion of local and global collaborations, working with government agencies, corporations, investors, and international organizations to provide startups with essential resources such as funding, mentorship, and market opportunities. Furthermore, she leads capacity-building programs and ecosystem development initiatives to foster sustainable growth and innovation within the Filipino startup community.
Beyond her roles at IdeaSpace and QBO, Alwyn serves as a consultant for the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), where she advises on technology commercialization and the establishment of startup incubation centers. In this capacity, she evaluates promising projects and contributes to strengthening the country’s research and development, innovation, and technology landscape.
Alwyn is an alumna of the University of the Philippines Los Banos and the Asian Institute of Management.
