ARISE Research Finding Dissemination: Tackling Intersectional Financial Gaps for Women MSMEs

ANDE East & Southeast Asia chapter is thrilled to invite you to join us for a special learning session “Intersectional Challenges Affecting Women Micro-, Small – and Medium-sized Entrepreneurs (MSMEs) in their Access to Financial Products, Services, and Subsequent Investment”, aiming to disseminate the findings of a recent report of Gender and Development Cambodia (GADC) and SHE powered by iDE, the ARISE research grantee for East & Southeast Asia region.

📅 Thursday 27th  February 2025
🕙 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. ICT

This Short n’ Sweet session will allow you to better understand how intersectional identities can intersect with gender and create unique challenges for women entrepreneurs in Cambodia in access to financial products, services, and investments, thus hindering their entrepreneurial growth. Additionally, you will understand best practices around feminist participatory action research and how it can help us have truly gender-transformative projects.

You will also hear insights from key stakeholders; Chandy Eng, GADC; Lyta Kater, SHE; Boleap Born, Mekhong Inclusive Ventures; a representative from Ministry of Women Affairs (MoWA), and moderated by Keisha Gani, iDE; about how we can provide better support for women entrepreneurs, and understand best practices around feminist participatory action research through a spark story of women entrepreneur researchers.

It is important to note that although this study focuses on Cambodia, the approach and methodology will share useful insights for those from other contexts.

If you would like to participate in this session and be part of the conversations, you are encouraged to RSVP before Friday 25th February 2025 to avoid missing out!

This special learning session is powered and brought to you by ANDE Advancing Research and Investment Standards for Gender Equity (ARISE) project, in consortium with the Criterion Institute and 2X Global with support from Global Affairs Canada.
