Following the success of our first dissemination event, the ANDE Southern Africa Chapter will host our second Dissemination of Argidius’s SCALE Research and Tools: What We Know Works – SCALE-ing business development services workshop on Thursday 24 August 2023 in Lusaka Zambia.

This workshop aims to disseminate a set of evidence-based considerations emerged from the research of the Argidius Foundation that distinguishes the cost-effective and impactful Business Development Services (BDS) programs from the less effective ones. The workshop will also showcase a set of associated tools and resources that entrepreneur support organizations (ESOs) can utilize to maximize their impact. Participants will have an opportunity to have in-depth discussions with other BDS peers how the methodology applies to their specific segment of the ecosystem.

The Learnings Objectives from this workshop will be:

1. Participants will be able to apply the SCALE methodology to their segment of the ecosystem, to help differentiate cost-effective BDS programs from less effective ones.
2. Participants will be encouraged to use common language (with different aspects of the ecosystem – funders, BDS providers) to effectively design programs for small and growing business (SGB) growth.
3. Participants will be able to use the reflection and diagnostic tools provided to assess their practices and facilitate discussions.
