Program Associate, Southern Africa

Tsholofelo serves as the Program Associate for the Southern Africa Chapter. She has 2 years of experience in rolling out initiatives that aim to support innovations that are climate-smart that at the core of their business seek to find mitigating solutions that address climate change issues through entrepreneurship.

Her interest in environmental and climate action was sparked by a topic that was introduced to her during the final year at university which focussed on ‘Geoengineering’. After obtaining her BA degree in Humanities at North-West University (Potchefstroom campus) she found herself working in the green economy field with SMMEs that are based in rural communities to metropolitan cities. Prior to joining ANDE, she worked for Indalo Inclusive SA NPC where she served as a project coordinator for 2,5 years managing initiatives focusing on social and green entrepreneurship. In addition, having worked in the SMME development field, particularly in the social and green economy sector, she saw the need to further her studies (MBA with specialization in Sustainability) because of the direction the South African economy is taking in moving towards a green and resilient economy.
