Farid joined ANDE in July 2021 as Program Associate for the Andean chapter. He is passionate about business development, with more than 10 years of experience that accounts for a strong understanding of the SGBs sector, from legislation to key players, institutions and public policy framework. He holds a Master’s degree in Innovation and Entrepreneurship form Antwerp Management School, Belgium. Throughout his professional career Farid has implemented multiple interventions aimed to foster employment, financial inclusion and the consolidation of rural value chains to overcome poverty in emerging markets. He co-designed Colombia’s largest BOP (bottom of the pyramid) entrepreneurship program, which targeted 30,000 vulnerable households. He also developed collaborative entrepreneurship methodologies in alliance with United Nations agencies to coach rural cooperatives on its governance structures, improving their productive and commercial capabilities. Farid has a solid commitment to contribute to Latin America´s economic recovery post pandemic by aligning efforts towards investment opportunities in the region, helping SGBs diversify while delivering value for its stakeholders and society.
