Anita Tiessen has been a member of the ANDE Executive Committee since 2024 and currently serves as the CEO of YBI. She leads the only global network dedicated to youth entrepreneurship that aims to develop and scale the most effective solutions to the challenges faced by young entrepreneurs today. YBI and its members work towards equipping underserved young people with the skills, confidence, and connections they need to become successful and responsible business owners despite the odds against them. Anita has vast experience in international development, human rights, and leading global networks. Prior to joining Youth Business International, she was the CEO of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, a global movement with members from 150 countries, where she grew the organization’s reach and impact. She also worked as the Deputy Executive Director of UNICEF UK and as the Head of Communications at Amnesty International’s global headquarters. Anita holds an MA in Public Policy and Management.
