The Global Strategy and Operations Coordinator will perform a broad range of planning, coordination, and operational functions for the Global Strategy and Operations of ANDE. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of general accounting and finance practices, excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive work style. They will be a self-starter, motivated, organized, and have a proven track record with taking initiative and completing tasks on time.

This role can be based in Mexico, Kenya, or India and will report to the Managing Director, Strategy and Operations in Washington, D.C.

Role Focus

Annual Planning Tasks:

  • Coordinate efforts to plan and organize yearly planning processes including working with the Managing Director on budgeting process, strategy process, planning process, and regional development process
  • Coordinating logistics for Annual Strategy Retreat

Facilitation tasks:

  • Organize and prepare for meetings, including gathering documents and attending to logistics of meetings including the following:
    • Meeting between Regional Chapter Heads and Senior Management Team
    • Regional Steering Committees
  • Aid the coordination and development of metrics for the regional chapters

Cross Functional Coordination Tasks:

  • Help to coordinate efforts and communication among Regional Chapters and Senior Management Team

IT Related Tasks:

  • Maintain connections and reporting on internal systems like Salesforce

Other Tasks:

  • Aid the development of slides and other materials for the Managing Director
  • Coordinate and schedule other meetings
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Managing Director

Role Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with three to five years of experience in similar positions
  • Is highly detailed oriented, organized, and able to remain focused in the face of multiple competing priorities
  • Proven project management experience with advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Critical thinking with analytical rigor for dealing with data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English required
  • Excellent team working and interpersonal skills with experience working with an international organization highly preferred
  • Strong sense of ownership with results oriented approach and ability to work cross functionally

This position will be hired for and be an employee of a local partner in Mexico, Kenya or India and is open to local candidates only.
